Clean and change rotating mop pads
Mop pads do the dirtiest job in the house. A short routine keeps floors fresh and tells you when a pad has reached the end of its life.
Cleaning between uses
Rinse pads under warm water and let them air dry fully. Damp pads left in a closed dock can smell.
Changing a pad
- Lift or twist the pad off its mount.
- Check the mount for hair and residue.
- Press the new pad on until it sits flat.
- Run a short mop to confirm both pads spin freely.
When to replace
Frayed edges, a stiff feel, or streaks that persist after washing are good reasons. Three to six months is a common planning range.
